About Me

Title: Junior Developer

Working with UK Rail Companies for Real Time Information for customers. I maintain, debug, and test the company’s flagship product in production and related updates that is used by millions of passengers and staff in the UK. I also assist with maintaining and updating internal application upgrades that communicate alongside with the flagship product.

Title: Junior Web Developer

I've led a client project, handled database optimisation in reduction from 100+ database tables. Worked and assisted with WordPress, Laravel, and Drupal developments, and exposed to various JavaScript frameworks, and learned Search Engine Optimisation techniques tailored for developers. I've managed server migration and maintenance for 100+ client websites.

I actively attended and volunteered at several student-led hackathons affiliated with Major League Hacking in my final year of undergraduate. From Aston University's AstonHack and Manchester Metropolitan University's ManMetHack to University of Birmingham's HackTheMidlands and Coventry University's CovHack. I contributed in various capacities, providing organiser support and mentorship to student participants. All volunteering occurred before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rejoined in this role, after being apart of the organiser committee for AstonHack 2017.

I orchestrated the logistics and advertising efforts to secure company sponsorships, foster corporate relationships, and leverage various social media platforms to promote our event, including the handling of the event from start to finish.
As a result of its outstanding success, the Aston University Students Union Guild recognised AstonHack as the Event of the Year in May 2020.

During my second year of undergraduate studies, I was honoured to be nominated and chosen as one of the Student Representatives for the Year 2 Computing Science cohort. I facilitated communication between students and department staff, addressing concerns regarding modules and perspectives. I actively participated in Student Representative meetings, advocating for student interests, particularly during University-related strikes that impacted multiple modules and students across the Engineering and Applied Science School.

During my final year of BTEC, I had the privilege of being elected and serving as a Student Representative, a role I cherished deeply. It involved advocating for student cohorts' concerns within modules and fostering communication between department staff and top-level administrators regarding student life. I actively participated in staff meetings for the Business, IT, and Engineering Department, accepting invitations to discuss issues or plans for student’s education, ensuring their voices were heard and represented effectively.

I proactively enrolled in the High School Office team as part of an elective extracurricular module. I undertook diverse administrative responsibilities, including managing phone calls and handling student note slip submissions from High School Guidance counsellors. Additionally, I provided administrative support across various departmental sections as needed, and delivered formal announcements over the school intercoms, thereby ensuring the efficiency of the High School Office Team.
